Hot Shotz Youth Basketball Skills Competition set for Feb. 16

Bensenville, Ill. (January 28, 2025) — The first-ever Hot Shotz Youth Basketball Skills Competition will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at the Deer Grove Leisure Center (DGLC), 1000 W. Wood St., Bensenville. The event invites boys and girls in grades 5-6, 7-8 and 9-12 to showcase their basketball skills in an all-day competition that combines athleticism, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Participants will compete in a series of events, including shooting contests, fast breaks and dynamic team play, culminating in a battle for the Hot Shotz Championship Trophy. Admission fees are $15 per person and $10 for in-district participants. Sign up at the DGLC by Feb. 10.

“This event is an opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate the talents of young athletes,” says Recreation Supervisor Breana Aponte. “It’s a chance for players to show off their skills, fans to experience the excitement and everyone to connect over the love of the game.”
