Learn all about snakes at Saturday’s Scales & Tales

Registration deadline noon Friday, August 12

Bensenville, Ill.— Children ages 3 to 7 interested in slithery snakes can learn all about the many kinds of snakes found in the state of Illinois at Scales & Tales, 2 p.m. Saturday, August 13, at Krempels Park, located at Jacquelyn and Dennis in Bensenville.

A park district instructor will talk about the snakes’ habitats, teach a snaky song, tell a story and even give youngsters a chance to meet a real snake. The fee is just $5 for residents, $7 for non-residents.

Register in person at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood Street, Bensenville, or by phone at (630) 766-7015. The registration deadline is noon Friday, August 12.

Scales & Tales is a part of the Bensenville Park District’s Park ‘n Play initiative aimed at meeting people where they live by providing programming in neighborhood parks.
