The Granary Barn behind the farm house will have many items for sale, including fabric, books, patterns, blocks and quilts.
Choosing the right fabric for a quilting project is an important decision that will impact the look and feel of the finished product so it’s important to consider the purpose of the quilt, the desired weight and durability and budget when making a fabric choice.

🙪 Quilt Appraisals
Lynn Contri, A.Q.S. Certified Appraiser, will be at Fischer Farm both Saturday and Sunday performing quilt appraisals for a small fee. Make an appointment with her by calling 630-254-5511 or email quilter124@sbcglobal.net to have a quilt appraised at the farm.
Quilt appraisals conducted by a certified appraiser has become more important than ever. A quilt appraisal can be done for insurance replacement in the case of loss or damage. An appraisal can also be done to determine fair market value or for donation or estate purposes. The value conclusion expressed is based on the appraiser’s best judgment and opinion and is not a representation or warranty that the item will realize this value if ever offered for sale at auction or otherwise. The value expressed is based on current information on the date the appraisal was made using current market values, information from personal databases, antique quilt dealers, auction house sales, formulas for compilation and online auctions. No opinion is expressed as to any past value or future value.

Via IL-83 South
- Take IL-83 south past Third Ave.
- Turn left on Frontage Road
- Follow Frontage Road south around bend as it turns into Old Grand Ave.
- Continue straight on Old Grand Ave. and Fischer Farm is on left at intersection with Grand Ave.
Via Elmhurst/York Road
- Take Elmhurst Road south to York Road in DuPage County
- Continue south on York Road to Grand Ave.
- Turn right to go west on Grand Avenue.
- Fischer Farm is a mile ahead on the right side.
FROM THE NORTHWEST
Via I-90/290 East
- Exit I-90 to I-290 east
- Keep right at the I-355 fork to stay on I-290 east toward Chicago
- Take exit 10A for IL-83 South
- Keep right at the fork, follow signs for US-20 E and merge onto US-20 E/W Lake St.
- Merge onto US-20 E/W Lake St.
- Use the left two lanes to turn left onto W Grand Ave.
- Fischer Farm is on the left at the corner of Grand Avenue and Old Grand Avenue.
FROM THE SOUTH
Via IL-83 North
- Take IL-83 north to US-20/Lake St./Grand Ave. exit ramp.
- Use the middle two lanes to follow the signs for Grand Avenue.
- Continue straight onto Grand Avenue.
- Fischer Farm is on the left at the corner of Grand Avenue and Old Grand Avenue.
FROM THE EAST
Via I-290 West
- Take I-290 (Eisenhower Expressway) to US-20 W/Lake St. exit.
- Use the right two lanes to take exit 12 for US-20 W/Lake St.
- Continue on to US-20 west/W Lake St.
- Turn right onto Grand Avenue.
- Fischer Farm is on the left at the corner of Grand Avenue and Old Grand Avenue.
FROM THE WEST
Via I-88 East
- Take I-88 east (East-West Tollway) toward Chicago.
- Exit onto I-290 west toward Rockford.
- Use the right two lanes to take exit 12 for US-20 W/Lake St.
- Continue on to US-20 west/W Lake St.
- Turn right onto Grand Avenue.
- Fischer Farm is on the left at the corner of Grand Avenue and Old Grand Avenue.
Via North Avenue (IL-64)
- Take IL-64 North Avenue east to IL-83.
- Turn left on IL-83 north.
- Take IL-83 north to US-20/Lake St./Grand Ave. exit ramp.
- Use the middle two lanes to follow the signs for Grand Avenue.
- Continue straight onto Grand Avenue.
