Climb on board the 1930’s passenger coach and travel to the North Pole while watching The Polar Express! Passengers will watch the classic film while enjoying hot chocolate–just like in the movie. Other snacks will be provided as well. In addition, expect a surprise guest appearance by Santa himself. A souvenir will be handed out at the end of the movie. Parents are encouraged to bring the kids in pajamas, and bring pillows and blankets. Chairs will be available for all the «big» kids. This train does NOT actually move. $10 per person, register at the DGLC.

Your trip to the North Pole (Elgin) begins at the Bensenville Metra Train Station. Santa’s helpers will read The Polar Express and lead families in singing Christmas Carols. Each child will have a special visit with Santa and receive a holiday treat. Date and time are subject to change. Start the Christmas season with hayrides for the family. Then warm up with hot chocolate and a variety of desserts while listening to the music of the season. While you are there, make sure to create a card, write your Christmas List, and drop your letter into Santa’s Mailbox. Don’t forget your picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus! No pre-registration, pay cash at the door, $5 children 2-17, under 2 and 18+ are free.
