Competition open to anyone aged 21 or over
Bensenville, Ill.— Those 21 and over can show off their baking skills in the Bensenville Park District’s first-ever Christmas Cookie Bake-Off, 2-3:30 p.m. Monday, December 19, in the Oak Room at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood Street, Bensenville.
“’Christmas time is here—a time for joy, a time for cheer’ is how the song goes, but it’s also time for cookies,” says Trent Grossman, senior services program coordinator. “The Oak Room Christmas Cookie Bake-Off is sure to be the most competitive and exclusive bake-off in the Bensenville Park District!”
Festive Christmas sweaters and holiday attire are encouraged. In addition to tasting delicious cookies, participants will be playing a round of crazy 8s as well as have photo opportunities with the jolly man in red. Prizes awarded for cookie competition.
The event is open to anyone aged 21 or over. Register by December 12 to participate. All competitors should bring at least two dozen cookies. The fee is just $5 for residents, $8 for non-residents. The fee is waived for those entering the cookie competition. Please contact Grossman at 630-766-7015 or tgrossman@BvilleParks.org for more information or to hold your spot in the competition.
