Aqua Zumba to begin June 7 at Bensenville Water Park

Bensenville, Ill.—Wood Street Fitness announces the launch of Aqua Zumba classes beginning June 7. Aqua Zumba takes place 6-6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11-11:45 a.m. at the Bensenville Water Park, 1100 W. Wood Street, while the water park is open for the season.

Aqua Zumba is a dynamic and invigorating fitness program offering participants a unique way to stay active and have fun by combining the benefits of traditional Zumba with the resistance and buoyancy provided by water. Led by certified instructors, the aqua-based dance fitness sessions provide a low-impact, high-energy workout suitable for all fitness levels.

Regular participation in Aqua Zumba offers a wide range of benefits. The water’s buoyancy reduces impact and stress on joints and muscles, making it an ideal choice for individuals with joint pain or those seeking a gentler form of exercise. The resistance provided by the water increases muscle strength and enhances overall cardiovascular fitness. Moreover, Aqua Zumba improves flexibility, balance and coordination while providing a boost to mood and overall well-being.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce Aqua Zumba to our fitness program lineup again this summer,” says Fitness Supervisor Silvia Acevedo. “This fun-filled aquatic workout combines the joy of dancing with the benefits of water-based exercise. It’s a fantastic way to improve fitness, relieve stress and enjoy a refreshing workout in a supportive and welcoming environment.”

The fee for Aqua Zumba is $8 per class, with a discounted rate of $6 for individuals residing within the district. Participants with a valid water park membership or Wood Street Fitness Core Class Pass membership can enjoy Aqua Zumba classes for free, making it an excellent value-added benefit for existing members.

To join the Aqua Zumba sessions, simply show up at the Bensenville Water Park at the designated times. No pre-registration is required. Participants are advised to bring a towel, water bottle and appropriate swimwear. Water shoes are strongly recommended, and swimming skills are not necessary.
