Aug. 20 Movie in the Park moved to 7 p.m. at the DGLC

Bring chairs, blankets, snacks to the gym and watch “Sing 2”

Bensenville, Ill.— Sometimes you win; sometimes you lose; and sometimes it rains. Due to forecasted showers and thunderstorms throughout the day on Saturday, Aug. 20, the free screening of “Sing 2” scheduled for dusk at Sunset Park has been moved to 7 p.m. at the Deer Grove Leisure Center Gym, 1000 W. Wood Street, Bensenville.

“We really did not want to cancel the event because of weather, and the DGLC Gym is an excellent indoor space for a movie, with plenty of parking available,” explains Superintendent of Recreation Mike Hayes. “Moviegoers should plan to bring their own chairs, blankets and snacks to the show, and we look forward to presenting this family-friendly movie.”

Come watch as theater owner Buster Moon sets his sights on producing a brand-new musical with his troupe in the glamorous Redshore City. “Sing 2” is the last of three shows in the district’s Entertainment Dayz series in association with its Park ‘n Play initiative, which brought more than 50 events to neighborhood parks throughout the district this summer. Previous Entertainment Dayz Movie in the Park events included “The Goonies” and “Aquaman.”
