Bensenville Park District to host ‘Little Lambs’ at Fischer Farm

Program to run every Wednesday in June, plus four weeks in July and August

Bensenville, Ill.— Join the Fischer Farm staff for Little Lambs. The engaging children’s program is being offered for children ages 2-5 and their families in two four-week Wednesday sessions: June 7-28 and July 12-August 2.

In this series of four parent-tot programs, kids and their families will hear a story, meet the animals and do a craft. After each craft, kids and their families will have the opportunity to interact with the animals housed at Fischer Farm and explore the grounds of the historic farm. Fischer Farm is located at 16W680 Old Grand Ave. in Bensenville.

“We hope to see you and your family at the farm this summer for this fun, new program,” says Program Supervisor Maris Rosenfeld. “In the first session, we’ll learn about how plants grow and do some planting of our own with mini pots and wildflower seeds. For session two, we’ll make cute animal faces after meeting the many farm animals we have. In session three, after reading a story about tractors and farm equipment we’ll get to make our own popsicle stick tractors. And in the final session, a story about birds will fit perfectly with our pinecone birdfeeder craft.”

Register by Wednesday, May 31, at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood Street, Bensenville. The program fee is $32 for in-district patrons and $42 for all others. Parents and younger siblings in strollers are exempt from fees.
