Park district offers “Yoga and Art in the Park” summer series

Bensenville, Ill.— Registration is open for the Bensenville Park District’s “Yoga and Art in the Park” series, which offers participants an opportunity to engage in yoga, relaxation and artistic expression in the serene and picturesque setting of local parks.

“Yoga and Art in the Park” is the perfect outlet for individuals seeking a holistic approach to wellness and a means of exploring their creative side. The program embraces the belief that everyone possesses artistic potential, regardless of prior experience. No artistic expertise is required, as the focus is on enjoying the process and embracing self-expression.

The series is designed to promote self-care, creativity and overall well-being. Each class within the series commences with a 60-minute yoga practice, providing participants with an opportunity to center themselves, connect with their bodies, and cultivate inner peace. Led by experienced instructors, the yoga sequences are thoughtfully designed to align with the theme of the subsequent art exploration.

Following the yoga practice, participants will embark on an hour of art exploration. Each art project will be inspired by the theme of the yoga sequence practiced earlier, fostering a deep connection between body, mind and artistic expression. The harmonious integration of yoga and art provides a unique and enriching experience that nurtures both creativity and wellness.

“We believe everyone has a creative side, so no artistic experience is required,” says Silvia Acevedo, Fitness Supervisor at the Bensenville Park District. “It’s all about embracing the joy of self-expression and enjoying the creative process. The combination of yoga and art in a natural outdoor setting offers a rejuvenating experience that enhances overall well-being. We invite individuals of all skill levels to join us and discover the transformative power of this program.”
