Park district to host December 18 Young at Heart Cookie Bake-Off

Holiday baking competition open to anyone aged 21 or over

​Bensenville, Ill.— Those 21 and over can show off their baking skills in the Bensenville Park District’s Young at Heart Cookie Bake-Off, 2-3:30 p.m. Monday, December 18, in the Oak Room at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood Street, Bensenville.

“The holiday season is a time for cookies,” says Trent Grossman, senior services program coordinator. “And the Young at Heart Cookie Bake-Off is sure to be the most competitive and exclusive bake-off in the Bensenville Park District!”

Festive Christmas sweaters and holiday attire are encouraged. In addition to tasting delicious cookies, participants will be playing a round of crazy 8s as well as have photo opportunities with Santa Claus. Prizes will be awarded for the cookie competition.

The event is open to anyone aged 21 or over. Register by December 11 to participate. All competitors should bring at least two dozen cookies. The fee is just $8 and $5 for those living within Bensenville Park District boundaries. The fees are waived for those entering the cookie competition.
