Bensenville Park District to screen “Aquaman” at July 9 Dive-in Movie

Bring your single-person float to the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad

Bensenville, Ill.—The Bensenville Park District will screen the 2018 superhero film “Aquaman,” based on the DC Comics character, at dusk Saturday, July 9, at the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad, 1100 W. Wood Street.

“Aquaman” will be screened at the July 9 Dive-In Movie at the Water Park & Splash Pad.

The Dive-in Movie screening is the second of three shows in the district’s Movies in the Park series in association with its Park ‘n Play initiative, which brings more than 50 events to neighborhood parks throughout the district this summer. The event is $10 to enter, but free for season pass holders and children under the age of three. Concessions such as hot dogs, popcorn, candy, soft drinks and ice cream will be available for purchase at the event.

“We invite residents to bring their single-person floats, connect with their neighbors on the pool deck, cool off and have fun,” says Bensenville Park District Manager of Facilities and Special Events Todd Linder, noting rafts and pool floats are allowed but not provided. “It promises to be a fun night of superhero adventure ahead of the release of the live-action sequel film, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ next spring.”

Dive into the fun as Arthur Curry, the human-born heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis played by Jason Mamoa, must retrieve the legendary lost Trident of Atlantis, embrace his destiny as protector of the deep and prevent an all-out war between land and sea people.

“Sing 2” will close out the Movies in the Park series at dusk Saturday, August 20, at Sunset Park, located on Grove Avenue between Judson and Barron Streets in Bensenville.
